David Wood, PhD
David A. Wood, PhD, is passionate about understanding new technologies and teaching them to the students of Brigham Young University, where he works as the Glenn D. Ardis professor of accounting. With over 175 publications in respected academic and practitioner journals, monographs, books, and cases, David’s research focuses on technology, governance, risk management, and internal controls.
His influential work has earned him recognition as one of the 100 most influential people in accounting by Accounting Today. David collaborates with companies of all sizes, accounting firms, and regulators, providing insights and expertise on emerging governance and accounting issues. He’s the founder of the training company Skillabyte and codeveloper of a free GenAI Governance framework.

Brant Christensen, PhD, CPA
Professor Brant E. Christensen is an Associate Professor and Deloitte Fellow at the Marriott School of Business, Brigham Young University, where he teaches auditing and forensic accounting courses. Professor Christensen maintains an active CPA license and has held faculty positions at the University of Missouri and the University of Oklahoma (Glen McLaughlin Chair in Business Ethics). He holds a PhD from Texas A&M University, and BS and MAcc degrees from Brigham Young University.
Before returning for his PhD, he audited large, private companies at a Big 4 firm. He actively consults with public accounting firms on audit methodology and technology and has served as a subject matter expert on an AICPA taskforce. He is also a co-author of a widely used auditing textbook, was a 2013 Deloitte Foundation Doctoral Fellow, and received the 2020 Hurley Roberson Award for Teaching Excellence. Professor Christensen’s research has been published in top research journals and he and his coauthors have been awarded competitive research grants from The Center for Audit Quality, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
